2024 9.11 Tribute Service

As we saw after 9.11, the strength of America has always been the character and compassion of our people. So, as we mark this solemn anniversary, let’s summon that spirit once more. And, let’s show that the sense of common purpose that we need in America doesn’t have to be a fleeting moment; it can be a lasting virtue—not just on one day, but every day.
— President Barack Obama, 2011

Each September 11th, the Project 351 community joins millions of volunteers across the country for a National Day of Service and Remembrance. We unite to honor and remember the loved ones lost in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001; and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms since 2001. Through service, we pay tribute to the spirit of unity, compassion, and generosity that healed our nation in the months following that tragic day.

Our mission is simple: To demonstrate the power of hope and the spirit of community. And, to honor great loss with kindness, generosity, and service that uplifts those in greatest need of our comfort and support.

We will unite throughout August and early September for trainings, leadership development, project workshops, and more. Learn more via our FAQ.

Why We Serve

Annually, Project 351 unites, in partnership with the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund, to honor and remember the loved ones lost in the terrorist attacks, courageous First Responders and everyday heroes, and the bravery of those who answered the call-to-serve by enlisting in our military.

9.11 Tribute Service Resources

Throughout training, we will provide historical resources, news stories, and personal perspectives on 9.11 to build your knowledge and motivation to serve. Understanding history provides us with invaluable insights and lessons of both leadership and humanity. And, brings greater meaning to the united action we'll create as a statewide team.

But, we know that history concerning tragic loss, acts of hatred, and conflict can be upsetting. You are not required to review all of the links and news stories. We will ensure the calls cover the information you need to lead and serve with excellence. As always, we encourage you to engage your parent/guardian/caring adult as part of your leadership journey. And, to direct questions to our team at  info@project351.org.
