Educator Mentor Resource Hub

My dream for the world is a place where everyone belongs and no one feels alone or ashamed of who they are. There’s no prejudice. Picture a world where everyone fits in. No judgment, just pure acceptance. Imagine high-fives everywhere and everyone’s unique self is celebrated! That’s the dream! It’s like being part of this huge, awesome squad where being yourself is the coolest thing. I’m all about that world, where good vibes and acceptance rule, and no one’s on the outside looking in.
— Kairo Diaz-Archilla, Ambassador, Tewksbury

Educator Mentor Overview

We are deeply grateful to our statewide community of educators for the selection and support of their community’s Ambassador. And indebted to you for your investment of time, expertise, and resources to support your student’s leadership as change maker and bridge builder. We know firsthand of your transformational impact. In fact, over the last 14 years, the greatest indicator of Ambassador success is the engaged support of an Educator Mentor.

Throughout the year, Project 351 will support Educator Mentors with training and resources, best practices, and a statewide community of service-minded educators.

The Educator Mentor will:

  • Serve as a source of encouragement, wisdom, and perspective during the Ambassador’s 12-month leadership journey (January through December).

  • Support Ambassador’s leadership development and execution of school-based service.

  • Cultivate the Ambassador’s values of kindness, compassion, humility, and gratitude.

  • Encourage and support Ambassador’s efforts to engage their peers and school community in Project 351's service.

  • Leverage Project 351 service learning and leadership platforms to drive school and/or district outcomes (where applicable).

  • Offer Project 351 feedback and perspective. The Project 351 team is comprised of active listeners, respectful collaborators, and devoted partners. We welcome educator insights as we strive for programmatic excellence.

PLEASE NOTE: The Educator Mentor provides hometown support. There is no expectation for their travel or participation at Launch Day or Reunion.

The Class of 2024 with their extraordinary Educator Mentors!

Spring Service: Clothing Drives in support of Cradles to Crayons

Freshly inspired by Launch, our Ambassadors have hit the ground running! On January 23rd, we kicked-off Service Leadership Academy, our virtual enrichment forum, in preparation for their first service campaign -- Spring Service in support of Cradles to Crayons. We'd be honored by your partnership as your Ambassadors' Host Site. Please find an overview of Spring Service here.

Spring Service is the Ambassadors' first learning lab for engaging their school and community in unifying service. And, a powerful demonstration of the scale of impact achieved when young people unite in common cause. Last year, Ambassadors led 466 service projects, civically engaged thousands of students, and generated C2C's largest in-kind donation of the year.

It's our great hope that Spring Service supports your objectives for civic engagement, values-in-action, and school unity. Please find Spring Service Key Dates for your review:

  • Over the four weeks of SLA, we will provide Ambassadors with the knowledge and tools to secure a Host Site and other project essentials as the foundation for successful service.

  • Saturday, February 17: Spring Service Project Registration deadline, inclusive of confirmed Host Site(s).

  • Tuesday, February 27: Spring Service Leadership Academy begins. SLA features Service Toolkit (guide/workbook for service learning and project development mailed to their homes), Alumni mentorship, and weekly Zooms to guide Ambassadors step-by-step to service success.

  • March 25 -- April 5: Spring Service! Length of service determined by Host Site and Ambassador -- from two days to two weeks!

  • April 6 -- 7: Donation Drop-off Weekend at designated regional hubs across the state.
