Service Learning

Project 351 is determined to meet the demand for high-quality, enriching service opportunities that respect and reflect the unique gifts and world-changing aspirations of young people. And, to joyfully mobilize that abundance of talent and goodness to uplift, unite, and transform communities.

Social and Civic Awareness

Throughout the year, Ambassadors deepen their knowledge of social issues and prepare them to lead projects in their communities against the causes and consequences of poverty. As part of their projects, Ambassadors spread awareness of these issues to further amplify change.

Leadership Development

Inside every young person is a brave, bold leader with dreams of a better world and the skill, passion, and creativity to achieve their vision. Project 351 ensures their desire to lead is matched with the requisite resources, mentors, and platforms. Within months of joining Project 351, Ambassadors begin to lead community-wide projects that create transformative change.

Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Central to our commitment is abiding respect for communities that are inclusive, united, and just. Every year, we train Alumni to facilitate anti-bias, anti-discrimination workshops through the Playbook Initiative (a Project 351/Boston Celtics collaboration.) Alumni train new Ambassadors, who develop the knowledge, confidence, and tools required of socially responsible leaders.

Community-Based Mentoring

The Project 351 community serve as mentors and supporters to our young leaders. Ambassadors connect with near-peer Alumni, learn from local community leaders, are championed by their teachers and schools, and are encouraged by a network of volunteers and Project 351 community members.
