April 2nd: Ambassadors and Alumni

This #351GratitudeMoment takes a respectful pause from appreciating our community's role model and heroes, to reflect inward.

Today, we offer appreciation for the inspiration for our mission, the stewards of our values, and leaders of positive change -- our Ambassadors and Alumni. Each of the 3,753 selected as their community's unsung hero/quiet leader since 2011, have embraced the call to serve and invested countless hours, big dreams, bold ideas, and all heart to "unite, act, lead" as one team, one community in service.

And, what a difference you have made -- through acts of service impacting more than 770,000 lives since 2011. Leadership that transforms and will endure, as you strengthen the values of kindness, compassion, gratitude, and inclusion in your schools and community. And, as you build a youth-led movement of positive change.

In the last month, we have witnessed a new level of devotion, deeper empathy, greater concern, and stronger resolve. We have watched as you elevate and appreciate the frontline heroes who lead and care -- and hope and heal -- so selflessly during this time of challenge. And, take pride as you innovate new ways to collaborate and serve...to be a source of comfort, care, and impact where your community needs it most.

Thank you for your example. You teach us about the power of kindness, the necessity of goodness, and the unlimited potential of young people united by a cause greater than self. Please continue to lead, we need your courage and compassion now more than ever.
